Individual Practice

In his private practice, Dr. Resnick specializes in psychodynamic psychotherapy and psychopharmacology for adults, focusing on young professionals, dealing with issues related to loss, phase-of-life and role change, and associated anxiety and emotional disturbances.

He completed the training program in Psychodynamic Psychotherapy at the Columbia University Center for Psychoanalytic Training and Research, and a Fellowship in Psychopharmacology at the Neuroscience Education Institute.

His experience in Pain Medicine and Palliative Care subsumes a unique background that informs his capacity to help those suffering symptoms that are both physically and psychologically bound. From this perspective, he approaches various internal and interpersonal conflicts from the recognition that they derive from anxiety and distress related to underlying fear associated with deep loss.

He has additional training in hypnotherapy from NYSEPH. He has conducted research and authored papers in peer-reviewed publications and book chapters on an array of psychiatric disturbances, from schizophrenia to personality disorders
